Edward L. He attributes his success to to his faith, solid work ethic, and to those mentors that have inspired, including Michelle Miller, a corporate attorney, and the owner of his present firm. Mr. Benjamin Starks . Mr. Speights became interested in criminal law at an early age. In the community where he was raised, he continuously felt that people were not given adequate legal representation. He was motivated to become an attorney so that he could one day give people a fair chance in court by providing them with superior legal representation. Mr. Speights obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Denison University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Cook County Bar Association. Mr. Speights maintains and active profile in the local community where he is deeply involved with All Nations Worship Assembly. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, attending plays at the Goodman Theatre, and being with family and friends. Mr. Speights is married to Theresa, who also practices law as a tax attorney in Chicago.
