Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation

Joshua D. Stiff focuses on bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on representing debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, trustees and other parties in complex liquidations, reorganizations and other insolvency related matters. He is currently involved with the firm’s representations in multiple mega-cases pending in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, including In re Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. (co-counsel to Liquidating Trustee) and In re Toys “R” Us, Inc. (local counsel to Committee of Unsecured Creditors). Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Stiff represented both individual and business debtors in non-bankruptcy workouts, Chapter 7 liquidations, Chapter 11 reorganizations and associated litigation.
