I grew up in Wisconsin and moved to Illinois for college. Being a true Cheesehead at heart, I am a Packer fan, drink beer, and love bratwurst. I am a mom and love being outdoors. I started a solo practice because I believe in personal attention for both my clients and my family. I began my post-high school studies at North Central College in Naperville, IL in September of 1991. (Oops, I think I just aged myself) I majored in International Business and Japanese. I spent a semester in Japan during the fall of 1993. I can't say I remember a lot of Japanese; however, it was a priceless experience. I graduated in June of 1995 with a Bachelor of Science. (yes, I have a BS from a liberal arts school... It's possible I may be an overachiever.) I began law school at Chicago Kent College of Law in the fall of 2001. I was working at Ernst & Young at the time, and studied law in the evenings. Then I went on to have a couple of babies, and became a stay-at-home mom/law student. I finally graduated in May of 2007. I don't recommend stretching out the law school experience to 6 years for most people, but it was right for me. I have held many and varied jobs through my life. I was a candy stripper at a chocolate factory, (that sounds way more exotic than it actually was). I also life guarded at Noah's Ark water park in Wisconsin Dells, (which was exactly as fun as that sounds). Then went on to hold positions such as, inside sales coordinator, inside sales supervisor, financial management associate, and financial adviser. Finally, I started my own solo practice in the fall of 2010. I really enjoy the personal attention I am able to give to my clients, and that I can also be around when my family needs me. I began focusing my practice only in estate planning, and quickly realized I needed to expand. In spring of 2012, I started adding Social Security clients. I hope to continue to expand my practice and knowledge in various areas of law.
