Litigation Attorney

Nicholas J. Dimakos focuses primarily on guardianships and probate and fiduciary litigation. Nick has handled dozens of guardianships, representing healthcare facilities and family members seeking guardianship, as well as serving as court-appointed counsel for alleged incapacitated persons. His practice also includes will contests and contested administration, involving challenges to and the defense of the actions of fiduciaries. Nick writes about guardianships and other probate issues on the firm’s NJ Guardianship & Probate Law Blog. In addition, Nick regularly counsels mid-size and closely held businesses in commercial disputes involving claims of breach of contract, breach of restrictive covenant, and fraud. As part of the firm’s membership in Meritas, Nick is involved with the Meritas Young Lawyer Program, connecting him with peer lawyers and their firms across the country and throughout the world. As a result of this position, Nick often assists firms and clients in other states with litigation needs in New Jersey. Before entering private practice, Nick clerked for the Assignment Judge of Bergen County, the Honorable Peter E. Doyne (Ret.).
