As an experienced attorney with a varied background, I’ve been able to develop an in depth knowledge of the law, and how to effectively and efficiently apply the law and legal concepts to achieve client goals. I've worked for a large law firm, as a Prosecutor and private practice. I've represented businesses and individuals in real estate, business, personal injury and estate planning. I've both prosecuted and defended individual’s accused of major, and minor crimes. I personally founded and operated a Construction business and this Law Firm. I now act as managing partner and mentor to other lawyers here at the firm. My varied background dealing with all types of people in all types of situations allow me to offer a unique perspective to our other attorneys in how to most efficiently and effectively represent individuals and businesses. I take on few new clients since my main focus as senior attorney is to advise on strategies and options. I believe community service is a duty for people who have the time and opportunity. I served on the Hillsboro School Board Bond review committee contributing my knowledge about constructing and financing to better our schools. I was Board member of the Hillsboro Library Foundation, which is committed to supporting literacy and libraries. I'm a former member of the Washington County Juvenile Crime Prevention Committee, the Hillsboro Library Board (including two years as its chairperson), Commissioner for the Washington County Commission on Children and Families, and Board member of the Clark County Washington Head Start. I’m currently serving my third term on the Washington County Board of Directors and serve on the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. I’m also a sports fan with season tickets to the Timbers, Blazers, and Huskies. I like to solve problems and to achieve results. I will review the issue that brought you into my office, analyze all aspects of that issue and develop a plan of action assessing your risks or opportunities. My background in virtually all areas of the law and my business background in owning and operating non-legal businesses, give me a unique perspective that I use to my clients benefit.
